A Data Warehouse is a set of multiple subject-area (generally cross-organizational) structured data contained in a database of a specific design. A Data Warehouse is usually loaded periodically (daily, hourly, monthly), and thus contains “snapshots” of data across time. A Data Warehouse is generally the result of the evolution of prioritized Data Mart projects over time, usually a period of years.
